It has been with me now for ten years

Most time any car ever for me - and I purchased a spider as well some years ago. This is the best I ever had (multiple 993, a 996, a 959, R8, Z1 and others). A keeper for life imo. Pure drivers car for the ones in the knowing 🔝

Nico all phenomenal cars…

… my criteria was subtle enough to be a daily (no Ferrari), mid engined (so no 911s), slightly uncommon and reliable. Boiled it down to the Cayman GT4 (too expensive in Singapore), late year Lotus Elise (wife wouldn’t be caught getting in and

A bit of a long story

Beside manual transmission I had a set of unusual requirements due to parking space limitations, no more than 190cm wide which ruled out some nice cars (z06, r8 v10). 911s were ruled out early because I already owned one, driven many and they have become

That surprises me...

When I did the Roger Dubuis X Lamborghini race track drive in Las Vegas, it was hosted by a company in Las Vegas that sold $400 packages for a "four-lap package" on the race track - so they have dozens of cars and they serve thousands of tourists each yea

It is going to be around 300K Euros.

A Lamborghini Huracan Technica in USA is around $230K base. With options around $250K to $260K (that'd how I specify mine, fairly light on the options, heavy on the technical options like the carbon brakes, upgraded suspension, lighter on the colors such

Nicely compared, thanks.

I saw a video of Matt from carwow where he drove his r8 vs the lambo. It was a farce and his dissapointment was super real. There is ONLY ONE issue with the Lambo for me: the price tag. I like owning things, hence loan and leasing is not an option for me.

The Audi R8 V10 is similar but not the same.

True, the V10 engine on the Lamborghini and Audi are very similar. A lot of both cars were co-developed. The engine block itself is exactly the same. The Lamborghini has lighter valves, rods, etc. made of more exotic materials. It also spins faster and fr

i will definitely look into lamborghini huracan...

Thank you very much for this extensive and precise answer. One more reason i love this place. I hear your concerns about the stigma. tbh, i would be feeling more comfortable in a lambo than a ferrari... lambo has this "i dont care what you think of me...:

I can tell you that Huracans are EXTREMELY reliable.

Mechanically speaking, Huracans are nearly as reliable as Porsches. And are probable the most reliable exotics outside of Porsche. Keep in mind, this Huracan does have a lot of Audi hardware. Oh - it doesn't drive/feel/sound anything like the Audi - so do

OOoooo! Now you're talking!

I drove the R8 V10 with the R Tronic gearbox - didn't like the car - the steering ratio was too slow, on a moderately windy road I had to go hand over hand steering, and the suspension set up wasn't the way I liked. But I do like the idea of a manual! Ver
